Alice Little, the woman who infamously hypes herself as the “highest-earning sex worker in the US,” filed a lawsuit against Democrat Governor Steve Sisolak and the state of Nevada for his targeted COVID-19 Lockdown.
The lawsuit comes after Nevada Governor Steve Sisolak excluded prostitutes from the “close contact” businesses he permitted to open as part of phase 2 reopening efforts in May, Insider reported.
“The governor’s decision to keep brothels closed is just blatant discrimination against Nevada’s legal sex workers,” said Little, 30, in a press release.
“It would be understandable if the governor kept all close-contact businesses closed.
But the fact that massage parlors, estheticians, salons, escort services, and other non-essential businesses have been allowed to reopen lead me to believe that the governor’s decision to keep brothels closed is just blatant discrimination against Nevada’s legal sex workers.
I just can’t let the governor arbitrarily decimate the livelihoods of an entire class of hard-working women. That’s why I decided to take legal action.”
The Ireland native — who has 106,000 followers on Instagram — worked for the Moonlite BunnyRanch, which closed its doors in March in line with statewide coronavirus lockdown measures.
Around a year prior, Irish Central reported that she was earning around $1 million per year.
In the injunction filed on Oct. 30, the high-rolling hooker claims that sex workers have suffered financial hardships under the closures in Nevada, which is currently the only state where prostitution is legal.
Democrat Governor Steve Sisolak’s COVID relief bill excludes the world’s oldest profession.
“Nevada’s governor has unfairly kept the legal brothels closed while allowing other high-contact businesses, such as massage parlors, spas, and salons, to reopen,” wrote Little on a GoFundMe page has already raised almost $9,000 with a goal to raise $50,000 for the lawsuit.
