The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is set to issue new guidance on wearing COVID Masks on Thursday

The CDC is expected to tell people who are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 that they can safely stop wearing masks indoors in most places, a report said Thursday.

The guidance will still encourage wearing masks in crowded indoor settings like buses, planes, hospitals, prisons and homeless shelters — but is expected to ease restrictions for reopening workplaces and schools, a source told the Associated Press.

The new announcement comes two weeks after the CDC said that fully-vaccinated people could safely ditch their masks outdoors.
