CNN correspondent Leyla Santiago took to the airwaves on Friday to report on the president’s rally to mark Independence Day at the memorial later in the evening, putting heavy emphasis on its links to slavery and abuses of Native Americans while implying the site was chosen for those reasons.
“Kicking off the Independence Day weekend, President Trump will be at Mt. Rushmore, where he’ll be standing in front of a monument ofTwo Slave Owners and on land wrestled away from Native Americans,” she said, noting Trump would focus on what he called “the effort to tear down our country’s history.”

Of course, CNN isn’t the only one’s thinking this way
The Democrats tweeted then deleted this little bit of idiocy about President Donald Trump’s then-upcoming trip to Mount Rushmore.
After the DNC tweeted that Trump was holding a rally to glorify “white supremacy,” they tried to delete it as quickly as possible…But not fast enough!

But in 2016 CNN had a different view of Mount Rushmore
In 2016, before Bernie Sanders found out that the Democrats had rigged the nomination for Hillary, he made a campaign stop at the now monument to ‘Two Slave Owners’ in South Dakota.
When the Vermont senator and two-time presidential candidate loser visited the site, CNN called the massive stone carving “a monument to four great American Presidents,” describing how Sanders took in “the majesty of the moment” as he deemed the site an example of “our country at its best.”
You can expect a full-blown bend the knee apology from Bernie Sanders in 3…2…1…

As we’ve previously reported. CNN called Mount Rushmore “quite a sight” and “majestic” when Barack Obama visited the monument to ‘white privilege’ when he was campaigning in 2008.
In both cases, CNN didn’t utter a word about those ‘Two Slave Owners’ or that the US federal government stole the land Mount Rushmore was built upon.

Just to show how far the Democrats have fallen, listen to what their hero FDR thought about Mount Rushmore.
Please note: I’m not sure if this video happened before or after February 19, 1942, when the Democrats hero FDR signed Executive Order 9066 that sent all those slanty-eyed yellow folk to internment camps.
