CNN’s Chris Cuomo opened his primetime show Thursday addressing the report that he advised his brother, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomoon how to respond to sexual harassment allegations from several women earlier this year.

Cuomo claimed he never his, and was open about advising his brother to deny, and contest the sexual assault allegations by multiple women.

Of course, if Chris Cuomo was so open about advising his #Metoo assaulting brother then why was The Washington Post breaking the news story on Thursday afternoon, such a huge revelation?

Staffers Detest CNN’s Chris Cuomo

CNN’s media writers reported after that “Multiple CNN staffers said they were bothered by Cuomo’s conduct and the violation of traditional journalistic standards.”

Here are my thoughts on the development from earlier today:

This is incredibly damning for CNN. CNN has defended the anchor over and over again, noting that Chris has a ban that prohibits him from covering his brother. Fine, but an exception was made last year when Andrew Cuomo guested on his brother’s show a bevy of times. The New York governor’s popularity then grew, as his TV anchor brother humanized him on TV, an advantage few politicians have. Then once the story went south, sexual harassment allegations began to surface and a deadly nursing home cover-up was exposed, CNN announced they had reinstated the ban.

Bizarrely, Chris Cuomo even opened a show in March to say he wouldn’t cover his brother, but that he is aware of the growing number of sexual harassment allegations leveled against him. The CNN anchor did not disclose that he had been advising his brother on the matter. Instead, he merely said he saw the news.

Of course, CNN says Chris Cuomo will not be disciplined.

  1. First phone accident: When I was in the 6th grade my parents decided I should get my first cell phone because I was going to middle school now and things were different. It was a pink little slide phone where you’d slide it sideways and have the texting keyboard and all. I took decent care of my phone and never needed a replacement. Well, flash forward to Memorial Day weekend. My family and another family went camping up in Pennsylvania for the weekend. Well, one of the days we were up there my buddy, Oliver, and I decided to take the kayaks out on the lake. Genius me, decided she wanted to listen to the 4 Selena Gomez songs I had on my phone. I thought it would be a brilliant idea to put my phone in a plastic bag to protect it from the water. When we got back from kayaking I took my phone out only to find the bag was submerged in water. We had no rice or anything to save my phone so we tried laying it out to dry, not even 15 minutes later it starts down pouring destroying my phone even more. My mom ended up giving me her first flip phone which didn’t even have a camera or the option to have music or photos transferred. Lesson learned.
