Disney+ has gone full-fledged woke after they announced they’re dropping several of their once-beloved children classics such as Dumbo, and Peter Pan after Disney’s cancel culture warriors declared them ‘racist.’
Disney+ prevents kids from watching ‘racist’ classics
Per Disney+ mob rules, children under 7 will be forbidden from watching “Dumbo,” “Peter Pan” “Swiss Family Robinson” and the “The Aristocats.”
Settings on the app will prevent the movies from even showing up on the young viewers’ profiles.
Disney explained its liberal logic rationale behind each film’s removal on the kid-focused Stories Matter section of their website.
They cited “Dumbo’s” (1941) infamous singing crows, which “pay homage to racist minstrel shows, where white performers with blackened faces and tattered clothing imitated and ridiculed enslaved Africans on Southern plantations.”
“The leader of the group in Dumbo is Jim Crow, which shares the name of laws that enforced racial segregation in the Southern United States,” per the site.
Peter Pan and Swiss Family Robinson.
These two were axed by Disney+ for their negative portrayals of Native Americans and foreigners, respectively.
The Aristocrats is a flick about musically-inclined felines — was deemed problematic due to the Siamese cat’s “exaggerated stereotypical traits” such as “slanted eyes and buck teeth.”
They added that the cat “sings in poorly accented English voiced by a white actor and plays the piano with chopsticks.”
Adults will still be able to access — and thereby show their children — the taboo movies with disclaimers warning viewers of “negative depictions and/or mistreatment of people or cultures.”
“These stereotypes were wrong then and are wrong now,” Rather than remove this content, we want to acknowledge its harmful impact, learn from it, and spark conversation to create a more inclusive future together.”
Dr. Seuss, Mr. Potato Head, and Superman
The move follows a nationwide cancellation campaign that heated up recently with the Dr. Seuss company discontinuing six titles over alleged racism.
As TuskerDaily reported almost two weeks ago, the cancel culture mob of mental midgets had a hell of a week.
- They got Hasbro to castrate Mr. Potato Head making him gender-neutral.
- They turned Superman Black.
- And to finish off their woke week they declared Dr. Seuss ‘racist.’
Almost to prove just how comical cancel culture has become.
While eBay and other literature purveyors ostracized Dr. Seuess’s books from their sites, Adolf Hitler’s ‘Mein Kampf‘ remained.
Has Cancel Culture Doomed “Space Jam: A New Legacy”?
The “Space Jam” sequel, meanwhile, is on shaky ground after an outcry over stereotypically Mexican mouse Speedy Gonzalez, and Pepe Le Pew, whose handsy antics have been accused of fostering rape culture.
Gabriel Iglesias is defending his role as Speedy Gonzales in “Space Jam: A New Legacy” following criticism that the character plays into harmful stereotypes about Mexicans.
Iglesias, whose family hails from Mexico, later took to Twitter to defend the character and his role.
“I am the voice of Speedy Gonzales in the new Space Jam. Does this mean they are gonna try to cancel Fluffy too? U can’t catch me cancel culture. I’m the fastest mouse in all of Mexico,” the 44-year-old actor — and star of Netflix’s “Mr. Iglesias” — tweeted on Saturday.
