Just last year on August 1, 2019, one of the leading websites advocating for the legalization of Marijuana aptly named Marijuana Moment condemned Kamala Harris for her tough stance and history of incarcerating Marijuana users during her time as California’s Attorney General.

In an article titled: Kamala Harris Dodges Question About Marijuana Criticism From Tulsi Gabbard they wrote:

People like Kamala Harris need to be held accountable for their record—not for something she said or did 50 years ago, this is something that she did in her last job before she was elected as a U.S. senator,”

Maybe the people at Marijuana Moment are smoking something a wee bit stronger then pot. Because after Joe Biden announced Kamala Harris as his running mate, boy are they ever singing a different tune.

In fact, not only do they ignore what they had written just last year, as they blathered on and on and on in today’s article about how Kamala Harris is 100% behind the legalization of marijuana.

But they write that poor Kamala will have a tough time trying to convince that old coot, Joe Biden.

While Harris, a former attorney general of California, made marijuana reform a major component of her criminal justice platform when she unsuccessfully ran in the 2020 Democratic presidential primary… Convincing Biden to come around seems like a steep task in any case.

So much for ‘Kamala Harris needs to be held accountable for her record

An example from the Marijuana Moment story published just 377 days ago:

Sen. Kamala Harris (D-CA) dismissed criticism of her record as a prosecutor who jailed marijuana offenders and later joked about her own cannabis consumption on Wednesday, refusing to respond to an attack that Rep. Tulsi Gabbard (D-HI) laid during the Democratic presidential debate.

During a post-debate interview on CNN, host Anderson Cooper played a clip of Gabbard saying she’s “deeply concerned about this record,” referring to Harris’s time as California’s attorney general.

“There are too many examples to cite, but she put over 1,500 people in jail for marijuana violations and then laughed about it when she was asked if she ever smoked marijuana,” Gabbard said, drawing applause.

Of course, rather than directly address the criticism, Harris said she doesn’t take her opponent’s opinion seriously blah blah blah.

An example from Today’s Marijuana Moment’s revisionist history story:

The senator first came out in support of legalization in 2018, adding her name to a different far-reaching bill introduced by Sen. Cory Booker (D-NJ). The legislation, the Marijuana Justice Act, would remove cannabis from the list of federally banned substances and also penalize states where marijuana laws are enforced disproportionately against people of color. She also cosponsored the 2019 version of the bill.

They also posted Kamala Harris tweets that made her seem like a Pothead’s Dream Politician”

While giving the slightest nod to the dust-up with Tulsi Gabbard, that Marijuana Moment had written that ‘Kamala Harris must be held accountable’

In today’s Marijuana Moment’s revisionist history story they write how Kamala Harris a proud advocate for legalizing Marijuana went after Joe Biden for his delusional Gateway drug claim.

Days after former Vice President Joe Biden, another presidential candidate, said he doesn’t support adult-use legalization because marijuana could be a gateway to more dangerous drugs, Harris tweeted “marijuana isn’t a gateway drug and should be legalized.”

They even went so far as to include Kamala Harris’ tweet:

Hysterically, Team Trump called Kamala Harris out on her BS:
