Mr. Potato Head can now marry another Mr. Potato Head and it’s all due to progressives forcing toy giant Hasbro to give their iconic kids toy a Woke-Tater makeover.
Coming this fall to a ‘woke’ kids store near you.
Fast Company, a progressive business media magazine reports:
This fall, you’re cordially invited to Mr. Potato Head’s wedding.
He’s marrying his partner of many years, another Mr. Potato Head.
And I promise it’s going to be the party of the year, with—you guessed it—plenty of spuds on the menu.
Yes, reading this ‘woke’ idiocy, I threw up a little in my mouth as well.
Kimberly Boyd, a senior vice president and general manager at Hasbro who works on the Potato Head brand, told the website that “culture has evolved” beyond such titles, which have been used since 1952.
“Kids want to be able to represent their own experiences. The way the brand currently exists — with the ‘Mr.’ and ‘Mrs.’ — is limiting when it comes to both gender identity and family structure.
This can be confusing to kids who live in progressive milieus, where they are exposed to many different family structures.”
Hasbro’s solution? Give Mr. Potato Head A Woke-Tater Makeover
Hasbro, I’m sure with transgendered progressives screeching in their ear. Suddenly came to the decision that nobody asked for.
In order to appease 4% of America, they’re dropping gendered titles from their line of Potato Heads.
This means their toys won’t “impose gender identity or expression” on our poor precious kids who have never asked: Why can’t my Mr. Potato Head play around my best friend’s Mr. Potato Head spud?
Fast Company giddily reported that Hasbro’s new ‘wokeness‘ frees kids to do whatever feels most natural to them
- A girl potato might want to wear pants
- A boy potato might wear earrings.
Hasbro will also sell boxed sets that don’t present a normative family structure.
The progressive publication went on gushing:
“This approach is clever because it allows kids to project their own ideas about gender, sexuality, and family onto the toy, without necessarily offending parents that have more conservative notions about family.”
